Live large, big hat… nice car.
You remember the time, when the manosphere was a collection of pick up artists, that the underground hidden manosphere was a small collection of guys who were sharing tips and tricks on something called ‘game’ – people were discussing mystery method, you read a bunch of posts filled with AFC, and HB8, etc. On the heels of mystery’s fame and the Game’s publishing and popularity; these early manosphere men shared not only tips on game, and how to run game, but what they called field reports. They’d go out in the field and pick up chicks, or try to pick up chicks and then come back to their blog and share the story, in the hopes of teaching others game strategies, or even just sharing a few stories of seduction. But then something happened.
As more and more bloggers started to join the ranks, there was a divide, there were game bloggers who wanted to move away from the gimmick of PUA as the PUA was turned into a money making scheme, where the PUA’s would hold teaching seminars and the blog posts they did write began to sound like an aspergers teenager on ritalin with every second word being an acronym, any new reader needed to reference a seperate list to decode them. So many men opted to start getting away from the gimmick and write about game, and when writing about game, one cannot get away from writing about the nature of women, since to run game effectively, you need to understand how women work. From there men moved on to their own niches within this, in order to differentiate themselves from one another enough that they didn’t seem to just be copying one another.
There then comes a time when writing about gaming a chick over and over, begins to be as repetitive as actually doing it in real life over and over. See once you begin to be a PUA or a game blogger, you get kind of stuck in that lifestyle. You need to keep going out, keep trying to pick up, especially if you want to run an old time PUA website. What happens if you get bored, want to hang with friends for a few weeks, maybe go camping, new hobby, a job, even dare I say a girl friend? Some writers get older and naturally don’t want to hang out in clubs and bars anymore every single night to pick up HB8′s and field report it to his legion of fans the next day. See it all just at some point gets too repetitive and too limiting. As game teaches you to break your limits and expand yourself, eventually you will have to become something more than just a mere Pick up Artist.
You can run game all your life, and anywhere you want. You however tire of wearing fancy hats and peacocking all the time, trying to bang only 8′s and 9′s and the idea that somehow you being better at being a PUA means anything to anyone but yourself. Bang enough 8′s and 9′s and even with them will you tire at some point.
I hesitate to say that the manosphere grew up and that’s why it moved away, but it’s more like it grew. The PUA’s who were just looking to find a hot girl to settle down with, left, the seminars mostly went away, and game writers expanded to talk about social issues affecting men, like feminism and the state of American and western women.
While I believe there’s still a market for PUA types, and perhaps a greater demand for the old school PUA as it is all but dead, I don’t believe PUA is all that sustainable for blog writers. Not many can keep writing only about how to bang hot chicks and only that for a long time. So if you want to be a PUA superstar, remember, stars burn bright for a while and eventually fade out.
