How Long Will Santa Claus Still Be Coming To Town?

How much longer before the feminists attack and dismantle this long standing tradition for kids? I mean an old man who shows too much interest in children while mrs. Claus stays home and takes care of the home and elves? Such patriarch cultural conditioning right?

How long before miss Claus takes over for ol’ Saint Nick and delivers presents for him as a strong independent woman? How much longer do children have of keeping some of its last innocence in the world? How much longer before all of our cultures stories are re-written to have a positive make role model or inspiration are completely removed for the sake of gender neutrality?

Who the hell would want to live in that world?

I suppose the most likely of this Santa business is that he’ll just fade into the background much like Jesus has in Christmas for secular folks. I’m sure it’s happening already, heck people view Christmas these days as a chore or obligation rather than getting into the ol’ spirit of Christmas. We live in an age where sentiment is looked down upon as weak or foolish. We as a culture have lost its innocence at seem to rejoice in it.

For me, I still want to believe in hope, a little magic, and a little justice. So, with this I leave you…

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.

  1. For the record: the german minister for family and stuff (Kristina Schröder, female, 35) suggested this week that God should not be referred to as masculine but as neutral.
Not “Der Gott”, but “Das Gott”, thus creating sentences like: “God said to Moses, ‘I AM WHO I AM.’ And it said ‘Say this to the people of Israel: The , the God of your mothers and fathers, the God of Abraham and Sarah, the God of Isaac and Rebekah (…)” (Exodus 3/15) *

Santa can’t be far down the road, now.

(She got trashed from practically all sides, but still: not only a member of parliament but also a member of the cabinet).

    * I am as agnostic as they come but this sounds weird and silly even in my ears.

  2. Sorry, I used less-than and greater-than signs in that comment. Should read:

    [insert-gender-neutral-feudal-title-of-your-choice-here-but-o-god-not-LORD]

after “of Israel: The …, “

  3. I for one have always been suspicious of the fat, bearded old man who creeps down the chimney in the middle of the night into the bedrooms of young children, bearing a loaded sack…

  5. Santa claus . . . easter bunny . . . God. . . . . . . sounds like an unrealistic majestic fantasy to me. . . .

Religious dogma has done its share of destruction in the world.

Judeo-Christian mythology isn’t the only thing the revisionist are re-writing. Don’t burn your history books.

No worries, got my daughter a beach cruiser and a shit load of gift cards for the little princess. . . . Santy Claws is alive and well. Lol

Jesus was an important philosopher and it would definitely piss me off if Santa became a chick. . . or God too for that matter. . . . philosophical deconstruction?

How bout peace on earth good will toward men?
